Its me, RaidX, from the good old yurx ;). I’m sorry for selling the site but it got to a point where I had no choice, the server costs were too high and I was spending too much time every day on the site trying to fix things, in the last few months we barely got any donations and I was taking a loss every month and putting money from my pocket in order to keep the site running.

The good news is that I have launched a brand new site, http://www.gwebtalk.com …. It is a forum dedicated to you guys, WEBMASTERS, because I know I provided almost all of you with free hosting for your site and now you might need some tips in running it or might want to give others some of your own advice. Best part is that we’re looking for staff so I let all of you know first since I know we had an awesome community. All your profiles were ported over so all you guys need to do is login and post away or submit an application to become staff.

Once again, I’m sorry about Yurx and I hope you guys were able to find another reliable host, you can try www.ceege.com ;).

It seems not to be a joke. Since the forum is closed down, and some account have been deleted. They do not provide backup at all, so it’ll be bad for someone who doesn’t have a chance to back up. Fortunately, my weblog is still here, but sooner or later it’ll come to dust. I don’t find interest in searching new reliable host now, yes once I believed this host is reliable. Sadly I’m wrong.

I’m very busy in studying now, so moving this house isn’t done till Lunar New Year. Moving website from host to host isn’t just easy as transfering data and such, but it also involving page rank, update new address, every crap thing … to make mine live again.

For first starting, it may load very slowly but be patient, after the first initialization it will open faster.

1. Adblock Plus :

No need to talk more about this popular and useful add-on , it helps you to get rid of unwanted and annoyed advertise banner around the internet.

2. FireFTP :

Really good plugin for Firefox. You don’t need any other FTP softwares. FireFTP has enough features for upload files in FTP mode to your web host.

3. Fireshot :

Need to install other capture softwares ? Print Screen and this is all I need.

My laptop HP Pavilion zv6000 I got from my friend works just well, but there is a problem, the HDD Toshiba MK8025GAS is too noisy. In a quiet room, I’m always irritated by that freaking noise. I know that is from HDD because of the clicking sound every time I open a file, a program, search files … However, it seems to be strange that now I notice that noise more intensively than before, so I perform a lot of test for errors and bad sectors, some reasons that may cause this. The first is CHKDSK tool.

Open Command Prompt and type chkdsk /f /r c: ( or any partitions ) You’ll say that you can get the same result by right-click on your drives - Properties - Open Tool - Error Checking … choose Automatically Fix File System error or Scan for attemp recovery of bad sectors … but you can have more options by other parameters like /i and /c .

Secondly I use Defragmenter tool. After that my Windows performance speed is faster, really, cause a lot of file is fragmented. But the noise is still.

I download and try HD Tune and HDD Life. The HD Tune error test actually found some bad sectors on the beginning track of my HDD, and HDD life warned something about spinning count and threshold. Since that is just a report and they can’t do anything to repair, maybe it’s belong to physical damages, not file structure.

And I found a great tool in Hiren Boot CD , HDD Regenerator 1.5.1 , which can perform some special task like repair bad sectors and even physical bad sectors. Yes it really worked since it detected and repaired while Windows Chkdsk or other tools can’t. But the main problem still exists.

Hai tháng qua tự nhiên mất đi “passion to blogging” … không blog, chat hay giao tiếp với ai trên mạng. À tôi nói chỉ trên mạng thôi chứ không có nghĩa là giống mấy thanh niên bên Nhật đóng cửa nhốt mình trong phòng tu luyện vài tháng đâu. Học hành và đi làm bình thường, vẫn lướt web nhưng … trừ blog và chat. Vậy đấy, khi không cảm xúc thì không thể gõ bất kỳ dòng nào … còn tại sao mất hứng như vậy thì nhiều nguyên nhân … :0

Mấy bạn hữu của tôi trên Yobanbe chắc tưởng tôi đã “đi về nơi xa vắng” hay lên đảo hoang rồi. không có ý làm họ lo lắng, nhưng với tôi, blog không phải là “Second life”, just a type of webpage. Nếu cần liên lạc, đã có email đấy Trang web không cập nhật hay không bao giờ cập nhật nữa là chuyện thường. … hmm mong nếu có ai trên Yo đọc xong thấy không bằng lòng thì bỏ qua cho. Tôi hứa sẽ quay lại sau khi thi GHK xong … that’s a war … T T … yeah, low grades cũng là 1 nguyên nhân.
